It’s impossible to spell.
Time and time again, even though emails are sent and text messages are exchanged and so forth, Maximilian Robert Lockwood continues to encounter various butcherings of his first name. (Why else do you think the brand is “MRL”…?)
Born in DC and raised in a suburb in Maryland, Maximilian Robert Lockwood was a class clown all throughout his academic career. Having done local commercials in the area as a child and having been told he had "Pipes of Gold" as a teen, he knew he was destined for fame and fortune in Los Angeles as an adult, because that's the simple, logical progression of such events. He moved to Los Angeles at 18-and-almost-a-half and within a year had a starring role in the award-winning short film, "We're American's, Eh?"
Maximilian went to UC Santa Barbara and Majored in Film and Media Studies. As a 19-year-old Freshman, he started his comedy career at the famous Laughology Stand-Up Comedy Show and quickly became President and go-to MC/Host for the weekly show. In his first 5 years of comedy, he worked with big names like Erik Griffin, Adam DeVine, and Joey "Coco" Diaz. He has since toured the country and worked with amazing talents like Iliza Schlesinger, Natasha Leggero, and Steve Hofstetter. For 4 years he has been the co-Owner and co-Producer of the "Laughs" on FOX-featured Comedy Hideaway club in Santa Barbara. In 2019, he made his international debut, performing in Canada and England, and has since made his Mexico debut in Spring 2022.
With topics ranging from Pro-Tips for Public Restrooms to Preferred Pronouns to Paperclips, Maximilian's eloquent yet accessible approach to humor will surely provide the chortles. His name is long and his voice is deep, and he'll have you laughing out of your seat!
